Literature Text

O you who is sheltered beneath the sky,
below whom masses underly,
above whom creatures of wonder fly,
who is made from water but yet kept dry,
of which the water protects your eyes,
yet the supreme being do you deny.
He who gave you eyes to see,
the miracles, He made to be.

Look to the heavens and witness the mass,
which shares with our lands fire and gas.
Which burn in our homes with sticks and leaves,
but also in heavens where we cannot breathe.
That the earth has the same pieces to make its oven,
that the heavens and earth are distant cousins.

Does the familiar flame not make you wonder?
about the birth of the heavens and all that is under,
that they were once joined then split asunder.
Who has the power to make nothing to all?
It is He who had power to make kingdoms fall.

He who was there before there was light,
He who was there to command it bright.
He who is beyond the platform of time,
But yet He exists supremely sublime.
I wrote this poem to express the things which stand to me as an evidence of the existence of Allah (God). This is not for Muslims only and can be enjoyed by anyone who enjoys a combination of facts and theology put into a poem.

Some of these verses are referring to verses from the Qur'an heres a few examples:

"who is made from water but yet kept dry,"- which refers to human beings being fashioned in a way that their bodies are 75% water but yet we're not externally excessively moist. About this it is mentioned in the Quran 21:30 "And We have made from water every living thing..."

This same verse of the Quran explains the two lines "Does the familiar flame not make you wonder? - about the birth of the heavens and under". I wrote these lines to conclude my view that space has a lot of the same materials as planet Earth and no-one could've put it there so it must've been one piece. I drew this conclusion from first part of the Quran 21:30 "Have not those who disbelieve known that the heavens and the earth were joined together as one united piece, then We parted them?..."

These are a few examples of Quranic reference in the poem. There are more.
